Within a crumbling chamber of Gauntlight’s depths — sealed behind a hidden stone door — the party discovered a grotesque aberration of unknown origin. The creature defies common taxonomy: a shapeless mass of pulsing, semi-fluid flesh, lined with dozens of mismatched mouths and rolling, lidless eyes, constantly forming, melting, and reforming across its body.

It emits a cacophony of voices, layered in unnatural harmony - wailing, whispering, mocking, crying — all in different tongues, sometimes echoing with familiarity to those who hear them. These gibbering voices produce profound mental disorientation, causing confusion, fear, and even hallucinations in those nearby. During the encounter, party members lashed out at one another, unable to tell friend from foe.

Gibbering
The creature displayed no clear anatomy or central nervous system. It engulfed at least one humanoid — one of the cultists aligned with the ghouls — dragging him screaming into its mass. For brief moments, the swallowed victim could be seen within.

Standard weapons proved inefficient; slashing and piercing attacks only created more mouths that shrieked and snapped. Only bludgeoning force seemed to suppress its regenerative properties and destroy its twisted form permanently.

Its behaviour suggests an intelligence, though its motives — if it has any — remain unclear. It did not speak in coherent phrases nor demonstrate tactics beyond predatory hunger and psychic torment. It is unknown whether this entity was a natural resident of Gauntlight, a summoned guardian, or a byproduct of some twisted experimentation.

The party was able to destroy the creature after a harrowing engagement. Its remains were offered to the ghouls of the Ghost Queen’s cult, who accepted the flesh with grim delight.
